Local Development Plan
The Local Development Plan (LDP) sets out how and where land and property will be used and where development will take place. Planning applications are assessed against the LDP.
Local Development Plan 3 (LDP3)
We have started work on preparing a new Local Development Plan (LDP3) for Dumfries and Galloway, covering a 10-year period.
Consultation
We engaged with people on the evidence report from May to June 2024, and asked them what they thought about the initial ideas. These results are then used to inform the evidence report.
LDP3 development plan scheme for LDP3
The development plan scheme lets you know what is happening with the new plan. It also sets out when, how and why you should get involved in the various stages of preparing LDP3.
