Garlieston Harbour

Garlieston Harbour is on the east coast of the Machars peninsula and is the base for a few small fishing vessels and pleasure craft.

Isle of Whithorn Harbour

Isle of Whithorn Harbour, at the south east tip of the Machars peninsula, is a busy commercial fishing harbour. It has regular pleasure craft moorings and is the location of Wigtown Bay Sailing Club.

Kirkcudbright Harbour

Kirkcudbright Harbour is on the River Dee below Kirkcudbright Bridge and is the busiest commercial fishing harbour in Dumfries and Galloway.

Port William Harbour

Port William Harbour is on the west coast of the Machars peninsula and is mainly used by fishing boats and pleasure craft.

Stranraer Harbour

Stranraer Harbour, at the southern end of Loch Ryan, is one of the busiest ports in the region, due to ferry traffic and fishing vessels.
