Changes to services

The following bus service will be impacted between 26 August to 8 September 2024:

Route 501 - Dumfries to Castle Douglas 

The A711 is closed at Beeswing due to road works from 7pm to 7am nightly. The 501 bus service will not be able to serve Beeswing or Kirkgunzeon during these times and it will travel via the A75 to Haugh of Urr and onto Dalbeattie.

The following bus services will not run on Friday 6 September, Monday 9 September,  Wednesday 11 September, Monday 16 September, Thursday 19 September and Friday 20 September:

Route 515 - 9.20am Castle Douglas to Mossdale and return

Route 516 - 10.20am Castle Douglas to Auchencairn and return

Route 515 - 12.20pm Castle Douglas to Mossdale and return

Route 516 - 1.20pm Castle Douglas to Auchencairn and return

Route 515 - 2.20pm Castle Douglas to Laurieston and return

The following bus services will be affected from Thursday 12 September to Tuesday 17 September:

Route 500  

The A75 at Crocketford has a weekend closure from 8pm on Friday 13 September until 6am on Monday 16 September and overnight road closures on Thursday 12 September, Monday 16 September and Tuesday 17 September 2024 between 8pm and 6am each night (or until works are complete) for essential carriageway maintenance.

Service 500 trips in either direction will divert between Haugh of Urr road end on A75 and Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary via Dalbeattie and A711 when the closure is in place. Crocketford and Springholm will not be served.
