Make a planning payment
How to make a payment for a planning application.
You can pay for a planning application in 2 ways. You can use:
- the Scottish Government's eDevelopment website
- our 'pay for it' payment system
Please provide us with enough details so that we can match the payment with your application. You can pay using either a debit or credit card.
Pay using the Scottish Government's eDevelopment website
This is the easiest and quickest way to submit your application and make a payment.
Go to the eDevelopment Scotland website
If you submit your application using the eDevelopment Scotland website, you may also make your payment on their website.
We will then receive your application and payment together, which speeds up the validation process. You will be given a reference number as confirmation of payment.
Pay using our 'pay it' system
You can make a payment directly to us.
Go to pay it – online payments service
Select:
- 'planning'
- 'planning application'
So we can match your payment to your application, please include the following information:
- your planning application number or the site address in the planning application number box
- the amount you intend to pay in the amount box
You can make a payment without a planning application number.
Pay for a planning application and a building warrant
If you need to pay for both a planning application and a building warrant, please make sure that you have selected the correct choice in the 'pay it' section.
Go to pay it – online payments service
To pay for a building warrant:
- select 'building standards'
- then select 'building warrant'
