If you are under 60 you can get benefits advice from Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service, which delivers benefit and money advice on behalf of the council.
Get benefits advice if you are 60 or over
We provide confidential advice to you and your family about any benefits you may qualify for. We'll start with a telephone call and only suggest meeting face-to-face in exceptional circumstances.
You could get extra money to help with daily costs like cleaners, gardeners, taxis, or anything else that may improve your health and wellbeing.
We will help you apply for benefits you may qualify for, including:
- Adult Disability Payment
- Attendance Allowance
- Council Tax Reduction
- Employment and Support Allowance
- Housing Benefit
- Pension Credit
