Rent your property for use as temporary accommodation

We are currently looking for landlords who would like to rent a property in Dumfries or Stranraer for use as temporary accommodation for people who are homeless or who may become homeless.

If you are a private landlord with property to let, you could help someone who is homeless or is being threatened with homelessness.

We are currently looking for expressions of interest from private landlords for properties for use as temporary accommodation.

The property we are looking for

The property must:

  • be self-contained
  • be in Dumfries or Stranraer
  • have a current energy performance certificate (EPC) band D or above
  • meet the new fire alarm, smoke and carbon monoxide regulations
  • have up to date electrical and gas safety certificates

Payments for your property

We pay landlords quarterly in advance at the appropriate Local Housing Allowance rate – gov.uk.
